In a symphony of culture and creativity, Vikash Residential School, Bhawanipatna, resonated with the enchanting aura of the Music Tree Exhibition, a celebration unlike any other. The campus transformed into a living gallery of rhythm and resonance, presenting an awe-inspiring collection of 78 rare and exquisite musical instruments, each an echo of the soulful traditions of Western Odisha. The crescendo of the event came alive through an enthralling live performance by Mr. Rabiratan Sahu, the illustrious Ustad Bismillah Khan Awardee and visionary founder of Kalagram Adi Dhum. His artistry not only mesmerized the audience but also rekindled the essence of Odisha’s musical heritage in its purest form.
This exhibition was more than an event. It was an educational odyssey, aligning with our school’s vision of holistic learning. By showcasing instruments that narrate the cultural heartbeat of a region, Vikash Residential School once again reaffirmed its commitment to blending tradition with modernity, knowledge with creativity, and discipline with diversity. The unveiling of the QR code for “GANGAD,” the 78th instrument, marked a pioneering step towards digitizing heritage and making music accessible to every learner, regardless of boundaries. This initiative exemplifies how Vikash is shaping not only scholars but culturally rooted global citizens, instilling in them a deep appreciation for art, history, and innovation.
